    I've seen some other phones that will say "Incoming message from "contacts name" when a sms is received. has anyone seen a program like this for blackberry? thanks

    No I haven't. I've also been looking since I have had my BB. My brother had a similar program on his phone.

    A work around, altough not as simple as an app, would be to record voice notes, or even have your contact record it, saying this is so and so calling and set that as a ringtone for that specific contact. Tedious if you have a lot of contacts but would work for the wife or the boss calling.

    Yes I have no plans of doing this lol but like I said wouldn't be bad for say your 5 or 10 most common contacts.
