I know that Pandora is not yet available for BlackBerrys. But has anyone been able to find another service that's similar. (Maybe not with the adaptive music selection, but at least with the ability to stream specific genres.)

OR maybe a web application that would allow the same service?

Well you can basically use shoutcast through Winamp Remote (Orb.) But, Im trying to find something with a larger library that I can direct to the music I want to hear, not what some DJ wants to play.

I think ORB works. You could setup ORB to stream a radio station and then stream that to you - :P

Flycast is great though. I do wish Pandora would create a BB app.

Have you tried a different station.

I believe it's still in beta and there are a few bugs.

I have had to do a battery pull once or twice and then it worked fine.

I just realized my permissions got messed up for some reason and now its work...kinda a dumb move there.

Flycast is pretty cool when it works, but it seems not to play nice with CDMA BBs. Most of the time, the stream just timeouts and nothing plays.

For more reliable streaming use Moodio

You'll have to setup an account on their main site, choose your genres or stations, then navigate to m.moodio.fm on your BB browser. It will stream through your BB music player. You'll need an OS version that supports streaming through the BB music player e.g., v4.5. The original v4.3 OS that came with Verizon/Sprint BBs can stream without having to upgrade to v4.5 I believe. GSM BBs have to upgrade to v4.5.

For the Pearl I tried flycast, shoutcast and moodio, guess we�re missing something. Same goes for video.
