I did the upgrade to 1.0.17.0 a few days ago and HATE it!! I have a 8530 on Sprint and keep getting "lost connection to chat server" THen I have to restart the program or it closes itself! Wish I could go back to the previous version! never had that issue before...

I had the same problem. So I deleted it and reloaded and now it won't even log on. It just sits on the start up screen. If I try to log on it crashes after a few minutes of freezing my phone and gives me an unknown exception error every time.
GRINDR please fix or put the old version back on the beta download link.
I've been a beta tester for months, have had tons of problems, figured it was due to my 9700 being on a BES. I'd have to be on wifi in order for Grindr to work even slightly. Made it difficult to use. Finally got a hold of a new, non-BES 9700, downloaded & installed, and it's working pretty good, without wifi, just over AT&T 3G.
Anyone else have issues w/ Grindr where it only worked on wifi? Anyone know what on BES (if truly the issue) causes Grindr to not work properly?

I have a 9700 and only run Redirector. We don't have a Enterprise Server since only a few of us use blackberries at work. I have always been able to use 3G or WiFi to run Grindr until this latest update, which neither let me sign on. Tried to turn off AT&T and just use WiFi and finally got a different error message stating I was "banned". Sent email to Grindr support and haven't heard back and still can't sign on. I've never had anything worth banning me for so wonder what the deal is.
OK...so come to find out "very oral" is a phrase that will get you banned from Grindr. I didn't think it was explicit, but apparently it is. I'm back UP and running.

Interesting, thx for the reply. Good to know about very oral, ha. I don't know what Redirector is. So when you say latest update, do you mean OS for BB or update to Grindr? I'm afraid to upgrade Grindr on my BB so I just live w/ it telling me there's an update available. I think I'm at 1.0.5.16 or something. Oh well. It hobbling along is better than nothing so I want to just leave it. I haven't upgraded my OS on the 9700 in a long time, not even sure if it can be upgraded now, but again, ain't broke why fix it. I've downloaded 1.0.5.7.14. It seems to be working OK so far, the only problem is that some user photos are not loading. The thumbnails all load up, but when i select a profile, the large picture will not load. Any help?
