I got a Bold 9900, unlocked it, and put it my AT&T sim card.

Everythings run perfectly. I'm just wondering has anyone done this?

Do you see the Digital Compass or visual voicemail on the home screen because I don't. Weird. it's missing..

Also for the Rogers sim card users, do you guys have a problem seeing the compass and the visual voicemail app on the home screen?

If you have a Rogers 9900, you won't have VVM. There is a tweak you can do, but not certain if it will work with the new devices.

I just use Youmail for visual voicemail. It beats the Carrier one which charges you for it.

What if you buy from Virgin Mobile and unlock and use it on AT&T, will VVM work?

compass doesn't exist on my unlocked rogers bold 9900 with my AT&t SIM in it..however my friend has a rogers sim card in a rogers bold 9900..and he has the compass...could be that at&T doesn't have it on their network because the phone isn't out yet for them...

My think here is that where Compass uses BB maps, and att blocks BB maps... compass won't show up.

I have a Bell 9900 - I didn't have the VVM icon until it was pushed to my phone once VVM was re-applied to my account. From there, you click the link and it asks you to install it.

Blackberry makes the VVM for it's devices but gives it to the carriers apart from the phone - the carrier has to "push it to you". I went through this with Sprint because they opted to not push that feature to the end users who bought the 9650 - I was one of them and not happy about it.

I did a wipe too and lost it... wouldn't mind having it again if there's a way to download it.

Do you have youmail working on your 99XX? I go to the appworld and says its not supported on my device/carrier. I'm with telus, and kind of wonder if that's why.

Also have the same problem with my 9900. Had to perform a security wipe because I was having issues logging into BB app world. Fixed App World, but the compass is now missing in my app folder. Any suggestions?
