- I would assume it's something to do with the accelerometer determining which orientation the Storm is in.05-06-09 09:31 AMLike 0
- An application registers an orientation listener when it wants to be notified when the orientation of the phone changes.05-06-09 10:21 AMLike 0
- So I set my storm to auto reboot at 0515 and I didn't touch it until 0730. All I did was read e-mail and then put it back down for a few more hours. I checked the logs and the memory stayed ~30mb until I started reading e-mail and it immediately dropped 4mb and then didn't change until I checked it a few more hours later.
So does this seem like a memory leak in the OS? The only software that is running is meterberry and stormslider but, I suspect that neither of them are doing it since it sat for 2 hours (2 different time) with no issues but when I start reading e-mail it drops.
Opinions? (running 4.7.0.141)05-06-09 11:59 AMLike 0 - So I set my storm to auto reboot at 0515 and I didn't touch it until 0730. Anyway, at least I can watch it better now with the meterberry.05-06-09 12:21 PMLike 0 - The memory cleaner has cost me 5mb the two times I have tried it. I do like the app though....The memory leaks stink on almost all storms, but I like being able to see the battery log. Worth the $3 for that alone IMHO, but dont buy expecting huge memory recovery though.05-06-09 09:41 PMLike 0
- Is anyone having a problem with meterberry. Everytime my phone reboots my customizable icon on my home screen turns i to an application folder. I can fix it by moving the icon to a different spot and then putting it back but that is annoying. I have contacted the creator twice and still no response. Help me05-07-09 05:41 AMLike 0

Sorry for any inconvenience.05-07-09 06:31 AMLike 0 -
If it never helps, that just means your phone is running as efficiently as possible, which is a good thing. For many people this is not the case, like the person who mentioned several pages back that he recovered 14MB with the "Recover Memory" button.Last edited by Giant Cashew; 05-07-09 at 07:52 PM.
05-07-09 06:56 AMLike 0 - I'm not familiar with the Precision Zen theme, but MeterBerry's icon is just like any other application's icon. If by "at the top" you mean where other notifications show up, like new e-mails or SMS's, you can't.05-07-09 08:40 AMLike 0
- Yep, you'd need a new theme. If you look for the ones set up for WeatherBug or other weather apps, you can just put MeterBerry in the slot intended for weather.05-07-09 08:40 AMLike 0

Switched back after 2 days because of lag, mem leak, etc.
Maybe I'll just wait until things on the phone are a little bit more stable to try themes again.
I'm sure some other themes might be better but it's not too big a deal just to for the icon.
Thanks again for your help.05-07-09 09:36 AMLike 0 - Has anyone else noticed that at the exact time every day you drop memory significantly? Yesterday at 12:59pm I lost -8.2 and today at 12:59pm I lost -4.7. Odd. Anybody know why this might be happening or experiencing it themselves?05-07-09 03:50 PMLike 0
