media card and apps 8120
hi,
i've been reading these forums for ages and they have helped me no-end, however this is the first time i have asked a direct question so hope someone can help.
basically i have a 1gb media card in my blackberry pearl 8120, it say's that i have around 800mb of space on it. So i tried to download the MSN messenger app and my blackberry told me i didn't have enough space.
i have checked that mass storage is on so i don't really know how to get the MSN app to store onto the media card
i assume i'm doing something fundamentally wrong and hopefully it's an easy resolution
:):rolleyes::D
hope you can assist

stu you have to save the applications to the device memory and not the media card. To see how much of that you have left go to options>status and it will give a file free number. Then you will know how much memory you have left on your device. Media card is for pics, ringtones, etc.

Apps cant be on the card or they wont work.

hi,
thanks for the advise i understand now why i can't dowload it.
so can you place your contacts and calender onto the media card? if so how do you go about this.
i'm thinking that this will free up the desired space on my phone memory to download some apps.
also, when i do download apps sometimes some of my messages and call logs disappear, is this the blackbeery's way of freeing up some needed space requirements?
