My wife has a BB Pearl - no data plan - does anyone know of a mapping application that DOES NOT require internet access? I.E. - it would presumably have a local device data base to reference for obtaining driving directions.
Apologies if there is an earlier thread on this subject - I did search for pre-existing threads but nothing showed.
I too was pondering the same thing. If you set your cetch memory to unlimited and never delete it it will build up the map in your phone, but you need to cover each sq. millimeter of the map to capture the image for this to work. so far i have Toronto's downtown and east end.
It seems stupid there is no downloadable city maps that are stored on the phone for use at any time.
