Is there anything out there that allows you to sort SMS messages on the Bold a little better i know you can view folders for inbox and outbox but when i get out of that option menu it defaults to SMS & MMS sent and rec'd.

3rd party apps can't access the sms inbox. The only alternatives right now are apps that basically list sms messages in a separate inbox, but they can't mark sms as read in the actual sms inbox, so it's kinda pointless.
