So I was looking around for a client that connects to the direct connect network (aka dc++) so I can chat with fellow mates on the hub.

However, i'm having problems finding one for a blackberry (curve to be exact)

    I found two "mobile" clients

    1) Mobile DC++ (mDC) for Symbian phones. The application has a .sis extension and I have not found a way for the BB to run it / convert to a nice .akx/.jad file
    Code:
    http://mobiledc.sourceforge.net/
    2) Java DC++. This is just a general Java client for dc++. The extension is .jar but my blackberry did not run it. The error message was:

    Code:
Error: Invaild Manifest or application descriptor. The "MDIet-Name" attritbute is missing
    Code:
    http://javadc.sourceforge.net
Does anyone know of a client that I can use on my phone?

If not, is it possible to edit Java DC++ for a blackberry?

Hmm get this working and maybe we could have a DC++ hub just for blackberries...

    Thanks in advance

I am in the process of converting your "JAVADC" to blackberry format.

I will post a link to the file once I am finished.

    Well, no luck..
I created a .JAD file to go with the .JAR file since it was missing but
I received this error when converting it.

I got as far as creating an .ALX file but it crashed during the creation of the .COD file.

Here is a link to the files.

Free File Hosting Made Simple - MediaFire

It contains the original .JAR, the .JAD I created and the .ALX file created. The .COD did not get created.

Sometimes I wonder why I bother...
I should have looked at the post count before I even bothered firing up the converter.
