    Hi everyone,

I'm looking for some advice on application security. As I have painfully experenced, RIMs terms of use allow some kind of data gathering for applications downloaded over the appworld. So I'm kinda wondering if there are any applications out there that won't send your personal data over the web? Or are there some default settings that I have missed?

    Cheers,

    BSB

This was posted on the Blog page yesterday and might be helpful.

Personally, I have since the 8100 allowed all permissions all the time and have suffered no ill effect. I do think this issue is just a tad overblown.

I've done the same as AG, never had any problems except very limited spamming from a very few select developers, all of which I was able to unsubscribe from.
