A very difficult task, not knowing what model you have, area you live, lifestyle, work, how you use your phone, etc......

Have a browse in app world.... Identify your needs. Its a little pointless to install apps if you never use them, even if they look good. 9900 and UK here. My apps are
    Twitter - self explanatory
Poynt - great app for finding local stuff
    M8 - a great GPS navigation app
Tunein Radio Pro - internet radio - paid for, there is a free version
easyDial - a great app for touch screen dialing - paid
FileScout - file explorer, great little app, very powerful. Can connect to PPC via wifi and browse files - paid
    Google maps
Blackberry Bridge - to connect to playbook with
Blackberry protect - a must have, backs up user data
Runtastic Pro - personal sports and fitness app - paid
    Lucid OS7 - A great theme - paid
used to have lots more, but never really used them
