Thanks. Also, how to install? don't you need an ALX file for desktop install?
Try this other link:
"Old" Quickpull lite w/o the ads
Regarding loading COD files, use BBSAK BBSAK
To keep this self-perpetuating, Can some of you folks who get this best Quickpull lite version re-upload the file to Rapidshare and post the link here on this thread so everyone can have access to this app, after the other links run out of their download limit?
Be community minded, folks!
:)Thanks!:)

Was that so hard? See attached...and enjoy! OP might want to attach it to his post so more people see it. I'm surprised it installs simply by installing the COD. I thought it required an ALX file as well but who knows.
Thanks!
I frequent forums where you cannot attach files, and I never thought about just attaching it to the post here.
I edited the first post to reflect the added attachment.
Thanks again.

For those who miss the old Quickpull sans ads.

To anybody reading this today, 2/17/10, QuickPull Pro is on sale today for $1.49. I'm not sure how the old "Lite" version differed from the current "Free" version; but I highly recommend the current Pro version, at least for Curves running OS 4.5.
Does anyone know if QuickPull (Lite or Pro) is working with Storm 5.0?
Yes it is.
I had quickpull free in my S1 running .419 and it worked fine. I upgraded today to quickpull pro (only a buck-fifty) to avoid the ads, and after a lot of fiddling around it is now working. The version that came via buying it today on the crackberry store was 3.5.4 which didn't seem to be working so after I purchased it and got my reg code from Steelthorn I went here:
How to use QuickPull on OS 5.0 - Steelthorn Software - FAQ
I downloaded the latest version of pro by typing this into my BB Browser:
http://files.steelthorn.com/labs/OS5/pro/QuickPull.jad
Which got me version 3.7.2.
Make sure you uninstall whatever old version of quickpull you have on the phone BEFORE you start any of this - that might've saved me some hassle. I did have to go through the slightly arduous process listed on the web page above to reset my permissions on the new version. But now that I've done that it's working fine.
Thanks. I've got QuickPull Lite working on my Storm. Just need the daily reset...
Does 2.2.1 support OS5? I'm having some trouble trying to load the .jad file on my 9650 (VZW), and Desktop Manager for Mac can't add the .jad file, either.
I may easily be missing something trivial. :)
Edit: I'm looking at the previous replies and am clearly missing something... the error message I'm getting is 907 Invalid COD File not Found.
You're going to need 4.0.4. OTA jad Link:

Ah darnit. QP Pro I guess it is!
I didn't try it myself, because I have OS 4.5 (and an older version of QP Pro) but I think it is the Free version. Not "Lite", because they abandoned that some time ago in favor of "Free". I suggest that you try it, and if you like it, buy the Pro version when it goes on sale for $1.49.
P.S. I do highly recommend QP Pro to any Curve users.
I forgot that I was in the Curve forum -- I just got the 9650 to replace my 8330. I ran 2.2.1 on my 8330, I don't think it installs on the 9650. 3.5.4 does, but that has ads, too. Ah well.
This isn't the Curve forum, but you still have 8330 in your profile.
Do you really think you need QuickPull on a 9650? If you want another way to reboot other than the 3-key way, get QuickLaunch.
Appreciate your patience -- this thread seems to attract all the mistakes I can possibly make. Sorry about that.
Incidentally, I wasn't aware of the soft reset (had to google that one) -- I ran QuickPull on the 8330 to clear the memory (it could get pretty bogged down). Does a soft reset accomplish the same thing? It seems like that reset and the reset accomplished by QuickPull (and a full-out battery pull) all do the same thing, but in reading some sites, there is a difference between the three-button and battery pull.
It is my understanding that the 3-key reset does the same thing as QuickPull. And as you did on your 8330, I have QuickPull reset my 8330 every night and that has been helpful. But you should not have to do it often (if ever) with a 9650. Can you go a few more days and see how it's doing? Also see what the other 9650 owners are saying. When (if?) I get my 9650, I hope to be free from worrying about memory.
Not a bad idea -- kinda overlooked the fact that it's been two years since my 8330, and device memory has grown. :p
Good suggestion!
