I have not seen anyone post this but I can not buy a book on the kindle. I keep trying it is telling me "please provide a credit card to my amazon account" which has been done. And to manage your kindle but its asking for a 16 digit serial number. which I do not have. I tried doing a battery pull, logging out and on and nothing still same message. And now I will try to reinstall, I also updated it and nothing same message comes up when trying to buy a book. Please help!

You have to go to the Kindle web site under manage your kindle. I can't remember exactly what you have to do but it has something to do with associating the credit card with the one-click payment method. Hope this helps.
