I installed the most recent update yesterday and own a Blackberry Curve 8520. Any notifications on FB are showing up on my home screen with that little FB symbol (along with the annoying bleep each time i get a notification). I want to stop recieving these but cant. I always managed to stop it from happening eventually on previous versions of the fb app. I have unchecked both the Blackberry messages application box and the Facebook notifications box. I would only like to recieve emails when stuff is happenong on my Facebook.

I get the same icon, and have the notifications turned off.

Try turning them off, save. Then logout of facebook. Log back into fb and see if that works.
