Tried this on the 3rd party app thread with little luck. Anyone using iskoot for skype on their storm? Their site says storm compatible, like some feedback from current users before downloading. Thanks in advance for your feedback.
Yup. I've tried iSkoot, IM+ for Skype, and a third one (been looking for 10 minutes; can't find the name of it).
iSkoot is the only one that works. Really works.
IM+ for Skype seemed like the nicest interface...wouldn't stay connected. and, the app costs.
The "other one" - Charged SkypeOut minutes for both incoming and outbound calls, so I never even tried to make a call with it.
iSkoot - Rock-solid connection, free app, free to make outgoing Skype-to-Skype calls (it makes a call on the phone to a US phone number so, it does use your Verizon minutes (or your unlimited nights and weekends)).
It's got a few limitiations. You can't initiate a 3-way call from iSkoot. However, you can call someone else's Skype, and THEY can bring a third party into the call.
All in all, one of my favorite apps for the Storm.
