    When I download a 3rd party app that I need to set permissions for, my blackberry becomes unable to recieve emails from my companies enterprise server. I generally end up deletng the app and haveng the IT dept reset my account on the server. Is there a certain way I need to set the permissions for 3rd party apps so that this doesn't happen.

    Just wanted to clarify one thing...I am downloading the 3rd party app onto my blackberry not on to the server.

    If you IT dept. is involved I would ask them first and find out if and what restrictions were put on your device.

    Thanks for the suggestion - however I did start with my IT dept and they weren't sure what should be done.

    Are you also making sure the apps you are trying to download are compatible with your devices OS. Also it is standard practice to do a battery pull after a fresh install. Not a shut down but a full blown hard boot battery pull while the phone is on. Good luck
