Anyone else have this problem? I installed 1.6 from blackberry.com/facebook without uninstalling 1.5, and my Facebook icon disappeared. I then uninstalled 1.6, rebooted, reinstalled 1.6, rebooted, and my icon is still gone. I resent service books, still no icon! I'm at a loss now.

I had the same problem. So I went to App World and installed 1.5 again since it was still available. I'd rather have a working version then no version at all.

I finally got 1.6 to work, I think. I uninstalled Facebook, deleted all my service books, and rebooted. I then resent Service Books, and the icon to download Facebook reappeared in my Download folder. I then clicked on that and downloaded 1.6. I now have the icon to run Facebook 1.6. Hopefully it stays.

If you go into your application list you will see two versions of Facebook. Delete both and redownload and everything will be perfect. I think the two versions were conflicting...

I didn't have to resend the service books. Just deleted all the Facebook apps on my phone and reinstalled...

what version of the 8900 os are you running?

Download through the browser. Then do bat pull or just allow it to restart.

If the app is gone, uninstall, batt pull and repeat.

Their are alot of people downloading this app right now so it is possible that their is something similar to packet lose going on.

Same problem here...I'm on 231...I just went into my app list and deleted it

EDIT: After deleting 1.6, I downloaded it again and the icon showed up in my download folder.

Only do this if you have trouble the first time. I installed over 1.5 and it is running smooth.

this happened to me.Just try to re download it until the phone reboots on its own after download.I'm thinking its the number of people downloading it that causes the glitch.

I deleted 1.5, did a battery pull, download 1.6 from blackberry browser, waited for the install to complete, did a battery pull, still no icon!!

My Facebook worked over my previous version, but I was having this problem with my girl's BB and getting quite frustrated.

Got the icon to show up on the 5th attempt. Most annoying but now running ok. Seems like a much better interface so far.
