Has anyone made a downloader for BlackBerry that uses TCP instead of BIS?

Could you please direct me to it. If not, could you direct me to a generic downloader for Java mobile phones?

I am a programmer and know its very simple to write what I have asked for, but I don't have the time. After this week, I might not get to a PC for months

I was wondering the same thing.

Load Opera and try Settings -> Protocol -> Socket.

I don't think it does because when I tried to download from a url, Opera launches the BB Browser with that url. Also, I think socket is the default setting. I haven't played around much with downloads because my credit is low :P
