I was just curious because it seems that every time something new comes out, I'm downloading it! I am counting 23 on my Berry presently, and that's after deleting a few!!
Will vary with the device, more important is the amount of file free memory available to each user. I have 15 or so on my 8310 with 27-30mb of file free memory left. The more the merrier as long as the device can keep up.....
This will only confuse people... Why does Trem have 4 apps and BergerKing has 30....... Its all relative to the device in question, all that matters is the file free so for any newbies reading please keep that in mind.....

LOL you'll see a whole bunch asking why their phone has no memory after installing a few apps with the storm, I personally have 26 plus 2 Themes on my storm (.103) and have no issues other than the stupid BBM that freezed my phone randomly
I'm way behind you guys with all these apps! Including all the blackberry OS and everything....I'm running 16! I have ssoooo much free file space though

FaceBook alone did a number on the stability of my device. I have since pared it down, but I still have 24 non-native essential apps and shortcuts on my device.
So, it boils down to need vs functionality = what AG said.

Help us today! I thought I was bad...how did I miss "MapQuest Beta"????
"Smart Flicks"...what the heck is THAT???? Did you ditch "YouVersion"?
Smart Flicks is great! You can use it to control your NetFlix account, add movies to your queue and change their position. I use that all the time when I think of a movie I want to see. It's better than making a note and going home to the computer and adding it. Pyxis Mobile's Application Studio Lab: SmartFlicks: Netflix on BlackBerry

Well...look at that! Too bad I don't use Netflix much. Thanks!
I also gave up MapQuest for TeleNav. Google Suite is gone, and so is Google Maps. I kept Gmail.
