I dunno if this was already discussed if so IM sorry. Is there a way to change the home app signs to the ones you actually want?

and do the apps already on shown if u press the blackberry button hard slow down the phone if you dont shut the apps off, how do you?

Hit the BB button, select the app you want, hit the bb button, select move, drag it to wherever you want it, click. Hide whatever you don't want to see at all.

Sort of related... how can I delete the apps I don't want? They don't appear on the Options - Advanced Options - Application list, ie: Windows Messenger, AIM, Yahoo Messenger. Just don't need them taking up memory.

You can't delete them. They're not actually installed, rather they are just links to the website to download the Apps. The best you can do is hit the BB button and hide them.

I only know this because I just posted a question asking exactly that.

Politica - I believe those are just icons. They still take up space (albeit minimal) but they aren't actual programs on your device.
