Can someone tell me why slacker keeps appearing on my homescreen and the app is not installed. I've deleted the service book for it on several occasions but it comes back up after a battery pull. Anyone have a clue?

Its being pushed. There have been tons of threads on this why clutter this site with more? Try a search next time. Hide the icon and move on.

Gotta hide it like we all did. Select it with the light, press the BB button and then select hide. BAM it's gone.

Guess I'm lucky as I've never gotten the Slacker push from VZ (at least not yet)

Read this thread http://forums.crackberry.com/f86/ver...plaint-259105/ and please call VZW at 611 and tell them you don't want this pushed content. Have them put you through to a supervisor so you can tell them as well. Thank you.

What I do is make a folder and name it "hidden" and then put in all the icons that Verizon pushes and then hide the folder. These are just shortcuts to download the program that the icon represents and takes up like 2 or 3kb so it's no big deal.

Why don't you actually download Slacker? It's a really cool app.
