So my 9900 with 540 has been doing some random long hourglassing. When I check the log it shows consistently that the error is coming from:
    Name: HomeScreen App
    GUID: a9d098450ba333e9
    Time: Nov 23, 2011 07:59:30
New battery level: 90 status: 0

    Any thoughts?

There's an app called HomeScreen Notes which puts a yellow sticky on your home screen to remind you of stuff. It runs permanently in the background - but in my experience doesn't cause any problems. Perhaps you've got some old files from an install of that hanging about making a mess of things?.

Interesting theory, but I've never heard of that app, thus never installed it.
    Thanks

No, I think "HomeScreen App" is not actually an app, but rather a core feature that runs the home screen items such as wall paper and such. If you never installed the app mention above, I think this may lead up to a Java error soon. The .540 is a new OS build so, I cannot think of anything that your should do other than a battery pull.

Just realized I got this problem. A battery pull did not help.
    Anyone with help?

Do you have BatteryEx? I get that error message all the time on my 9930 and it seems to be related to that app. Think it may be correcting the battery level. I don't have any slowing or hourglass associated with it however.

Have the exact same issue on a torch9860, it says something about battery level.

This isn't an issue, it's just a log showing the new battery level. Apps like MeterBerry probably generate it, as they display the battery level in 1% increments.

    Nothing to worry about.
