I was at a friend's and he was using his iPhone as a remote to control his home entertainment system. I didn't have a chance to get into the details of how he did it, but is there any way to do this kind of stuff on the Storm?

You would have to have an existing home automation system in place first. Your friend was probably using a "Control 4" system. They have an iphone app currently and are developing a blackberry app right now. It currently is wi-fi based and only works while on your home wi-fi network. It doesn't use your cell service. It can control your A/V, thermostats, lighting, and do video monitoring using IP cameras. You can message me for any specifics, I sell the Control 4 system.
