I doenloaded shazam last nite and it worked fine. This morning I tried it again and it wouldn't work so I checked the settings and it cannot get a connection. It says I need the APN, username, password, WAP gateway IP, and WAP port. Can anyone tell me where to find these things, or a workaround to get shazam to work

Just tried a Verizon 8330 with 4.5.0.77 and Shazam worked ok. You shouldn't need APN or WAP gateway settings. Do other apps work ok? Do you see BIS in the top left corner of Shazam screen? When you say the application worked at first, did you get passed setup?

Sound like a carrier-related issue. If BIS doesn't flash up then Shazam is unable to access the Verizon service. Service books? Any oddness with Verizon on your handset since last night? Thats all i have i'm afraid!

    Same thing happened to me.

    Works now.

I went to options, advanced options, applications, chose Shazam, then menu "edit permissions". Changed connections, interactions and user data to "Allow".

It could be that you need to speak to your provider to ensure Shazam can access the interwebs.

The number in the JAD/COD names is the minimum OS version required for that application. You have installed Shazam460 which is intended for OS 4.6+. Please uninstall Shazam460 and then get the correct version of your OS:
    * If you have OS 4.3 or 4.5 please install Shazam430
    * If you have 4.2.1 or 4.2.2 please install Shazam421
    * If you have 4.2.0 please install Shazam420

    Hope that helps!

The current OS of the BB 8330 is 4.5.0.138. What you want to do is install the Shazam430 app like robin said.

Take the zip file and extract it's contents to your computer. You should now have a folder that contains an alx and a cod file. Open up Desktop manager and click the application loader icon. Click the Start button Add/Remove Applications. Next click the browse button on the bottom of the screen and select the alx file from the shazam folder. This will now add the shazam app to your list of available applications. Just look for the shazam app in the list and make sure it has a checkmark in the box next to its name. Finally click next twice to install the app to your device.
