The BlackBerry CD contains the BlackBerry Desktop Manager, but usually an older version. The first thing it will do is reccomend an update to the latest software version.

With this software, you can backup/syncronize and maintain the software on your BlackBerry.
In order to install new software, you will also need a copy of your device OS software. You can use either your carriers approved version, or the latest available software release.

Once you have everything installed, Application Loader will let you Browse and select your new software to install.
