Well here goes!! I have a Nextel 8350I which I just rec'd to replace my 7100I and for the life of me there are some things I cant figure out on this 8350. I dwonloaded apps from Yankees.com. weather.com, cnn.com but they dont show up on my phone like they did on the 7100I. Also all the alerts I set up for emails texts and others dont play on the 8350I. What am I doing wrong????????????????

Chech the folder that says downloads, and there you will find your new apps.

are apps able to run with your OS? there was an update for 8350i you may need to update it to get the apps to run . also try a battery pull to restart your phone.as far as the alerts did set them on a diffrent profile or save them before you left. im still a rookie but thats what i have done in the past to get apps to run. but dont worry jlj or quinn will be able to elp you better then i can. but try to pull your battery out that should do it

scroll over it, hit the bb key, select move to folder, and select home. depending on the theme you are using it will limit the ammount of apps you can have on there, but you can add and customize folders

You would have to download a diff theme. I just pick my most important ones for the theme I have and hit the bb button to get to the rest

Like another poster pointed out, you need a custom theme. I use the IDEN theme, it allows me to have 15 icons on the home screen.

I had that phone for less than a week before getting this one! And boy oh boy what a difference!
They are midi ringtones that you had for the 7100i and they will work for this phone too!
The desktop manager is what you'll have to use for switching profile settings. Its in the desktop manager
Switch device wizard! You hopefully are on the latest OS and
You should def. Make sure you are on the latest firmware. There aren't any themes
That will work for both phones. 8350i themes work for 8350i's only!
    7100i themes or 83xx themes won't work!
Apps are mostly compatible by phones and 7100i apps are 4.1 OS and under!
You're on 4.6 so you'll have to get those apps again most likely and that shouldn't
Be too hard, considering how, Now you're an official member of the elite

Yea this baby is like learning to walk again!! I have OS 4.6.1.204 but I dont know what firmware??? From what I can see so far there isnt alot of free themes out there for this phone??? The only thing I miss from the 7100I is the ability to have most of my apps on the main page. I am sure I will get there with this 8350I!

You might want to try Quicklaunch (sorry no link, but it is available in the App store).

I have it configured to my convenience button and VIOLA, a bunch of apps at the ready It is easy to use (heck I figured it out, lol).
