I am wanting to try out a couple apps that track you while you ride a bike, run, walk etc. Every time I open these apps, GPS never starts working. However, if I launch Google Maps...boom it finds me...all is good. I do have Location On for GPS Services. Any ideas? Thank you.

USCellular users have a lot of difficulty using GPS. The GPSr in an 8330 operates in Assisted GPS mode, and apparently USCellular has difficulty providing the necessary ground signal. Some users eventually gave up and bought external bluetooth GPS receivers. If you are up to a technical challenge, this procedure may help: http://forums.crackberry.com/f41/rea...v1-0-a-192999/. I have not tried it myself.

Google maps may be finding your location via cell tower triangulation, not GPS. If there is a blue circle around your location, and it says "location within XX meters", then it isn't true GPS.
