On the 8320, does the pre-loaded Gtalk app take away from SMS allotment or does it use DATA? what about the other pre-loaded chat apps?

If this is same Gtalk you can download from BB site then it uses BIS data...

droptop, you can get gtalk at the bb browser homepage, from crackberry's free software page, or straight from "www.google.com/mobile" (here will have gmap gmail gtalk)
