    Is anyone using google search on an 8830 with success?

    I tried the voice search and it is giving me an error message

    It prompts the Application permissions screen.

    I click Allow and it locks up.

    After some time I get the uncaught exception error.

    Any suggestions?

    I have no experience with google voice search but Vlingo will let you do a google search (and lots of other stuff) with voice commands. Give it a try its free.

    I use it on my 8830 and it works fine. I am on OS 4.5.

    Are you on BIS or a BES?

    How are your permissions set for this application?

    I've got it on mine, OS 4.5 default permissions. Have you tried removing it, resetting and reinstalling?
