For anyone interested: Google Maps will no longer let you connect if you're reinstalling. DO NOT UNINSTALL UNLESS NECESSARY. google has blocked new activations of GMaps from BB.

Google does not intend on making anymore blackberry apps at this time. They have made a decision that they believe their services are more valuable to you than your handset, believing that more people will switch to Android if they can't get good Google apps for their BlackBerry. I don't knoe how open their services are allowing others to develop BlackBerry apps for Google services or not. RIM has their own Google Talk app, but that's because GTalk is based on the Open service XMPP. So my guess is unless BB10 changes minds and markets what has been posted here may be all we ever have. So reallly it comes down, IMHO, to developing alternative solutions and never depending on any one corporation wheter it be Google, RIM, or Verizon, the more you depend on something that can be easily taken away from you, the more you can be manipulated and enslaved.

Well, the evil plan worked. I just finished porting my mobile number to Google Voice, not knowing they were ending support for BB. Now I was forced to activate my old DroidX. I was going to get a BB10 device, but not w/o Google Voice. I guess I don't get it, Google and Apple are arch-enemies, yet GV is available for iOS. Why single out BB for destruction?

I navigate to the same site with my BB browser and land on a webpage depicting a map which I cannot figure out and links without any language but wingding characters! Advice? I would really like to have GV reinstalled on on BB, I miss it !!!!

Make sure you're browsing it from your blackberry and not your pc. Should just be the app info, then a download or cancel button on the bottom of your screen.

had the same problem, the url is case sennsitive apparently. make sure the H is capitalized

The "version" for google voice is wrong, because i don't know what it actually is, if someone tells me i'll reupload with the correct version.

I ran into the same problem last Friday when I reloaded the OS on my 9900. I guess Google doesn't want people to use their apps unless they own an Android device.

But thanks to SCrid2000 I have it back.

Thank you so much for the link. I had to do a wipe and lost the app at that point only to realize it wasn't officially available any longer. Just got it back on my phone using the link. thank you so much! It was bugging me that I couldn't make international calls on the cheap

Thanks for this. Has anyone tried to save the .jad files and host them somewhere else? I tried but keep getting download failures when trying to install from my own location. I don't want to rely on someone else's hosting because I have to reinstall my google voice for bb quite often.

Same here 8320. Invalid COD unable to import ZIP, so tried to load via COD and JAD,
Installed with BBSK but error of NET_RIM_BBAPI_MESSAGELIST is now an issue.

I attempt to log in to my Google Voice app on my Blackberry and it says:

"Unable to connect to Server. Please Try again later.

It has been doing this for about 4-5 days now...?

Anyone know what's going on?

I called Google Tech Support in India and the Technician told me he needed my Credit Card# and was to charge me $119.99 to fix the problem. I told him I was recording this conversation & he got irrate, asked me what I was going to do with the recording, then he hung up.

What's "Really" going on here?
