hey guys, i noticed my GV app works w/o a data plan and wifi w/ the new GV app update...

i currently do NOT have a data plan (i disconnected it a few months ago but still had the Google Voice app on my phone) and I turned off the WIFI feature on my 8900...

However, with the new update (May 21, 2010?) of the Google Voice app, I noticed that I can type a number into that app and it will dial; it will also send SMS messages....

I was NOT able to do this on the previous versions of Google Voice app...

Am I the only one who noticed this? Also, I am curious as to how the Google Voice app is able to dial calls and send SMS from its interface without a data plan or WIFI connection?

I worry if there will be extra charges??

Yea i think there might be extra charges, maybe the service book from you data plan is still there.

I use Google Voice. Where did you get the new mobile app from? I can never find the right spot to download the mobile app.
