I am about to buy the 9800 (next hour or two at The Shack) but I am a heavy user of Google Voice and currently have the "old" version of the app that still allows me to use AT&T's "A-List" to make unlimited calls via the app without affecting my base minutes.

Is there a GV app that is compatible with OS 6?

Is the previous version (before the current version starting assigning specific and different numbers for all outgoing calls) available for OS 6?

I will get the Torch regardless, even if I have to upgrade GV, however if I can avoid it I will.

Please help me!

I am also a heavy user of GV. THe app for the TOrch is the new version with the direct dial access number. I was in the same boat as you regarding A-List. I love my GV and I really like my Torch right now. Had a bad one to start but got it replaced and everything is perfect now.

I do notice that once in awhile my Google voice will still use the Old Access number when I place a call so I have been keeping that in my A-List.

I have Torch for couple of days already and I still couldn't find the Gvoice App for BB6. Did I miss something?

Found a direct link in the forums, I was able to redownload version 0.1.7, using this link Google

From my "old" 9700 this link still comes up as V0.1.7 but on the shiny new 9800 it goes straight to V0.2.0.2

What you need to do is
1 - uninstall 2.0.2.
2 - Download bbsak
3 - pm your email and I'll email you the 0.1.7 cod file
4 - use bbsak to install the 0.1.7 cod file and thats it, it will install the version you want

I went through this yesterday and installed 0.1.7 successfully as I too was being pointed to the newest version when I tried the 0.1.7 url for google voice.
