I just signed up for google voice but I can't find the APP for the S2. I found a site and it sent my a Text but it just logs me on it doesn't give me a link for an APP.
Google voice is not same as skype. You will still need a data and voice minutes plan (with Verizon etc) if you wanna associate google voice with your storm2. You can't place voice calls over a wireless network with google voice either. Think of google voice as just a cool phone and SMS organizer with transcribed voicemail and access to an online control panel. Comes in real handy because you can always keep the same phone number (google voice number) no matter if you switch phones or service providers.
Skype for blackberry technically isn't free voice over wireless either. You still need a voice minutes plan to use the skype app on your blackberry. It's great for making free (well, you are only charged in minutes, not a pricey international rate) calls to friends overseas.
I wish the google voice app was a little clunky feeling for storm2 but otherwise it works fine.
