Is there any way of getting the Google voice app to actually let me know if someone sends me a text?

Also, it doesn't appear to work on wifi only, is that correct?

I think there is an option in the settings tab in your google voice online account. You can have it email you a copy of your text so you'll get the text message as an email through BIS. You should be getting them anyways as text messages if you have your google voice number set to forward to your BB. Yeah I don't think the app works via wifi only, but I'm not entirely sure about that.
