Google Sync within contacts

I was just adding a contact to my BB and noticed that their was a google sync option in the menu under contacts and I think that must be a new feature of the 5.0 and I dont have BIS or BES but logged into google within the screen and it worked perfectly to sync all my google contacts and calendar entries.

Just thought I'd share that and ask if anyone else had noticed that/tried it. I was suprised it worked without a BB plan, I have a standard internet data plan that I got with my iphone from ATT and it works with my BB as well, even though the actual syncing took place over my home wifi.

Might you have any app on your bb that gives you the google sync option or do you think it is part of 5.0?

Does it sync OTA w/o WiFi?
