Mine started working again too. I opened up the sync app and the error messages were gone and it indicated that both my contacts and cal had been sync'd and what time that happened. Just before posting this, I had it do it manually and no issues. So fingers crossed that this has been fixed. Seems like there's a bit of a rollout; some of you had it sooner than others.
Mine started working again after 2 or 3 days but I'm getting a red error message at the top of the screen in Google Sync about another sync client has been adding events to the BB calendar.
I have no idea what is adding events. Google Voice or Google Maps maybe?

I had a very similar problem some weeks ago.
I solved the problem with resetting the calendar synchronisation.
