Can anyone upload a alx/cod file of the latest Google Sync 0.5.15? The browser is hijacked by the carrier here, and I cannot install Google Sync in my 8800.

Would also appreciate this. Deleted GSync two weeks ago and now can't get it back on my 5.0 Bold. None of the direct links work anymore.
The module name is "google_sync_40_en". Version number of the cod is 0.5.15. I took this from my latest backup, installed from the latest version available.

i couldn't extract either of the zip files listed here either. i tried using the .cod files but the dm won't recognize them without them being .alx / .ali?
I made my own jad files for Google Sync that don't include device info, so if you're having trouble downloading the app directly from Google, feel free to try mine. I built these using cods for the Bold, but Google's URLs for the cod files is the same for most devices, so I think they should work for the Tour as well.
Just open the zip file and copy the entire GoogleSync_40_en folder over to your SD card, then navigate to the folder using FileScout or your BB's file explorer and click on the install.jad file. It should install itself the same way it would OTA.
0.5.15 is the current version as of 03/03/2010
If these jads don't work for your device, post with your OS app version and platform version and I'll create one that does.

thanks for posting those links, unfortunately that OTA still does not work on my blackberry tour, I get an error message saying"907 invalid COD". my phone is a verizon blackberry tour 9630, running v4.7.1.61(platform 4.1.0.81). is there another OTA that might work? the blackberry desktop manager won't sent the .cod files to my phone either.

Wow, good, I'm glad you were able to get it working. And you're right, my version won't work for the Tour. I believe my OTA will work for 8330 an 8900 users, because when I changed my browser to mimic those devices, it pointed me to the same cod files as the Bold 9000 version. But I built a browser profile to mimic your device and I couldn't even get to their jad file to try to make a new OTA for you. The problem for Tour users seems to be the site and different cods, not just the jad.
If you want, I will still be happy to host an OTA for Tour users if you want to either send me a copy of the cod files (you can get them straight from your device using BBSAK) or you can use BBSAK to make a jad file yourself and send me that along with the cods.
I was able to download and unzip the files (hopefully to be able to load G Sync for my Tour) - but my Mac doesn't know what application to use to run... Help?!

Thanks Digitalboy, still looking for these files as a work around for my(and others) issues!
