I noticed the folks at BBOS have posted an upgrade to Google Maps.
BlackberryOS - Your Blackberry RIM Software and RIM Applications Source - Google Maps makes the jump to 4.4
It seems that the regular link of Google Maps still shows 4.2.

They have a 4.4 link on their site.
    Google
    Enjoy!

    Everyone is very welcome...

I was so surprised at how fast it loaded & found my location while inside my home! The "Places" feature is really cool, but I did not get a chance to go elsewhere yet to see how it works outside my home area.

You probably downloaded from the classic link. Make sure you're using the direct link I posted from BBOS.

Is it just me or is the "labs" option missing from the menu?
And it does seem to find my GPS location a lot faster, but it looses it if I switch to another app.

It does seem to of loaded faster. That's one of the reasons I still have bbmaps as it will load faster.

You're right. I was looking to see what was new and didn't notice what was gone.

@chrisy520-as far as I know, Google does not make separate device specific versions, although it will check for your device. You can see this in the help-about screen.

@sickboy719-yes! It is missing, however, I do remember something being posted a while ago stating that it may be removed. Wow.

You are NOT using the direct link from BBOS that I posted. It is the 3rd/last link in the post.

I copied that link address and emailed it to my BB, but it gave me 4.2. I opened up this page in my browser and then it did give 4.4. Weird, looks like the same address.

Wow. New Maps and Voice updates this week. They are busy over there
