There's a new layer function now, you can layer transit maps and a wikipedia layer too. Puts little W's in locations of interest. So far I only see them for sports coliseums and schools.
When I have the 'transit' layer on, it just shows the subway stops (which it used to, before the update) is that all its supposed to show or are the actual lines supposed to show up on the map?

I'm glad the black underlay is gone too!

Running Bold with ATT 297 OS. Downloaded, installed no problem. Keeps hanging up within first two minutes of map movement. Installed, rebooted, removed, rebooted, reinstalled, rebooted. Same issue still. Thoughts? Link to v3.0?

I seem to think the traffic overlay is more opaque on this update. Can't see the street/highway names as clearly through the green/red/yellow traffic indicators. Kind of a pain when in a new area with the traffic indicators on .

You can "Clear Map" which will, well, clear the map of all layers, searches, locations, directions etc.
However, if you wanna delete Layers from your list then I dunno
My searches show up as Layers in my list and it's annoying. Waiting to hear back on a few different threads about it and I posted about it on the Google support site too.
When you go to layers, you'll see the ones you've selected. To un-select them just click it again and the check box will be clear and that layer will be gone until you select it again. I had to figure it out also.
But the recent searches still show up on the layers screen which I don't want.
Does anyone if Goggle Maps will save your favorites now? That way if I replace my phone, I can DL Maps, log in, and my favorites will show up on the new phone

Am running Goog Maps for Mob 3.2.0 on Curve 8520 (OS 4.6.1.305) - in the default theme the gmm icon doesn't "glow" anymore when you roll onto it, nor does it animate in any way (used to flatten itself out).
That is the sum total of my quibbles with this update.
