    Hi everyone,

So I was looking at software to install onto my Pearl, and I came upon Google maps. I love everything Google puts out for mobile devices, but this one's just a doozy.

I install gmaps onto my Pearl, but I get multiple icons for it in my menu. Multiple meaning 8 icons, just for gmaps. And I installed it only ONCE.

Like any good troubleshooter, I consulted Google FAQs, and they told me to go to Options>Advanced Options>Applications>Modules. From there, I was supposed to delete the offending apps (turned out to be multiple instances of google maps for different Blackberry models). But there's NO option to Delete!

I'm one super sad panda. With lots and lots of Google Maps icons in her menu.

Go to Options>Advanced Options>Applications, how many times is Google Maps listed there. You should be able to scroll down to it, then hit the menu button, and choose delete.

As far as why it installed like it did... I have no idea. What URL did you go to to get it loaded?

I've gone to Options>Advanced Options>Applications, and Google Maps isn't listed on there - I need to go one further into Modules and then I'll see Gmaps.

I downloaded the .zip file from Google, and they packaged the file with different versions of Gmaps for different models of the Blackberry - something I disregarded to notice - so when I installed the .alx without removing the .cods I didn't need, it installed ALL of them.

I've tried uninstalling many times - I'm not sure if it's PocketMac or Gmaps, but uninstalling doesn't work - all 8 Gmaps icons are still there after I try to uninstall. There's no way to do a direct browse of the device on my Mac, so I can't get rid of the offending files. Sucks to be a Mac user with a Blackberry, eh? =/.

I'm really stumped on this one.

I would guess you would need to go into Desktop Manager and then the app loaded to delete the module.

When you reinstall, from your device go to Google Maps

I have the same issue on the BB 8800. i installed google maps using PocketMac and now i have 9 icons on my home screen that i cannot remove. i can't even find those modules anywhere on the phone?! There is nothing like that in Options>Advanced Options>Applications or deeper.
PocketMac cannot uninstall it either? Does anyone have a solution?
    Thanks
