Same here, 9900 Bold on T-Mobile in the UK. Signs out as soon as you sign in, only noticed it in the last couple of days.

If I roll back to Maps 3, do My Maps (from Google) still work, which is the whole point of wanting to be logged in. I've got a big tour coming up in the next few weeks where the route has been meticulously refined over the last few months and with Latitude it was going to be perfect to track where I was up to and zoom in & out as required in order to pinpoint some of the places in relation to my current position.

    Hope it gets resolved soon

Hi this is Joel who did the original post. Uninstalling 4.5.3 and installing v3 did work on the 9900 but reinstalling 4.5.3 after that did not work. Still having the original problem with Latitude.

With the Bold 9900 I've found that Maps 3 works ok, I can stay logged in, but in version 3 there's no layers, so you can't access your My Maps that you created on your PC. Overwriting to 4.5.3. brings back the sign-in problem again.

However, it does load the map from My Maps, so as long as I don't close the map on my phone, just switch application instead, I can at least do what I wanted - tedious but it works.

    Verizon BB 9930

Instead of "You're signed in / You're signed out," an improvement would be a more informative error message.

If the error message provided some instructions, thousands of people wouldn't waste their time and bandwidth un-installing and re-installing.

I hope the Latitude comes back soon.

Well so much for that idea...I called T-Mobile Tech Support and they know nothing about the problem...They were supposed to transfer me to a T-Mobile Blackberry Specialist but we got disconnected before I could talk to anyone.
    So the saga continues.

I have version 4.5.3 and can't stay logged in either. I do not think Google is supporting BlackBerry any longer so I don't have much faith that Google will try a fix. My husband never upgraded his Google Maps and is on version 3, his is staying logged in just fine. So I have been using Latitude on my Ipod. I guess I could try deleting 4.5.3 and trying version 3.

I am still using a 9700 and my future upgrading with BB is looking very dim if Google doesn't decide to roll out their Maps for OS 10. This is the only app I use on a near constant basis. I am touch screen challenged. I'm typing on my playbook to post this and it has taken at least 3 times longer to do it on this crummy touchscreen, delete....never enters space....delete....delete....etc

Boy I hope Google does not stop supporting blackberry... We all will be in trouble.
Also... (Reuters) - Yahoo Inc is shutting down seven products, including its mobile app for Blackberry smartphones, as new Chief Executive Marissa Mayer takes a page from Google Inc's Playbook by eliminating unsuccessful products en masse."Yahoo said its app for Blackberry smartphones would no longer be available for download, or supported by Yahoo, as of April 1."
Because of BB10's new operating system.I am afraid to upgrade to BB10 as I need some of the other third party app's that I am currently using on my 9900. And they may not run on BB10.

Since the morning of March 8th, I have not been able to use Latitude, I get the "you have been signed out" immediately after signing in. I'm glad there is a forum that has an answer - but the fact that I have to DOWNGRADE to make it work again is very disappointing. I have not downgraded and I am hoping this will be fixed. I've been a dedicated Blackberry user since day #1 with my old trackwheel blackberry. I currently have a Torch 9800. Even though the new BB is about to be released - I have witnessed support/updates for apps I use just fade away. Even just going places in Chicago, sitting somewhere seeing something that could make my life easier - and going to download it and finding out it only supports iPhone and Android phones. From my car dealership, to SouthWest Airlines (Flight Tracker) - I cannot use my Blackberry because RIGHT NOW there is no real CURRENT application support for it.

It makes no sense to stay on the Blackberry platform - and I am SCARED TO DEATH to switch to the new BB10 because how do I know it's not going to be another huge flop? I work for government and they started switching to Windows 8 phones. I dislike the Windows phones, so I choose to keep my Blackberry for personal use. But my Blackberry is already a thing of the past...

It shouldn't have to come to this... pulling the plug on things that were working. Not saying they did or didn't - but it sure looks that way. I don't see any hard evidence that Google is working on it.

What about the evidence that I posted two posts prior to your reply? ;-) I know it may not be hard, but it's definitely better than nothing IMO :-)

True, I did see that. But I don't count a reply to a thread from a supposed Google employee named Abby as "official". Replies to threads are hardly official. I can log in as Bill Gates and say we're working on Windows XP SP4. :-P

You could, however you wouldn't show up as an MS employee on an MS forum that easily. That blue G icon sure makes her seem legit ;-)

This is a different problem - the terms and conditions acceptance problem to which your link refers has been fixed by google and the workround referred to is no longer necessary.

The problem being talked about in this thread is to do with the sign in process, not the installation process (hence the title "Google Map Sign in Issue"). When you sign in on the app it signs you out a few seconds later.
