I've heard of TrekBuddy and MGmaps, but have never used either.

TrekBuddy - J2ME application for GPS tracking

Mobile GMaps - View maps from various sources on your mobile phone!

Personally, I'd never even bother with using my BB for such a thing. Then again I have a DeLorme PN-40 among others.

I'd suggest a trip to one of their visitor centers and get some maps/pamphlets and go hiking without a BB!!!! They also sell any number of hiking guide books.

Drive or shuttle to the Big Trees (Wawona) and hike that trail. Hike up from Happy Isles as far as you'd like. Partway up Yosemite Falls trail or to the top of El Cap.

Toulumne is PARADISE with trails along the road - probably not open and snowy up there with all the Sierra snow. Mt Dana (unofficial and 13,000 feet) on the east, North Dome, Gaylor Lakes, May Lake and "offtrail - Mt Hoffman. Mono Pass and Sardine Lake. Cathedral Lakes (unofficial Budd Lake).

My favorite National Park, as you might be able to tell.
