- I got an email this morning from GolfLogix with a link to download the latest version 1.6. After the download, the app won't load. It was working with the old version. Now it just sits on the loading screen with the spinning thing in the middle. Any ideas?10-22-09 09:27 AMLike 0
- when i downloaded the application last month it was working great!, then when they released the 1.6 version i too was having the same issue. I decided to email the golflogics customer support and they sent this reply to me to fix the issue and it worked!! It's kind of long but being a new blackberry user... it helped me a alot.
Thank you for your inquiry. If you've just updated your GolfLogix application on your BlackBerry and it's not opening up properly, please follow the steps below.
First, uninstall the GolfLogix application, the following is how to do so. (Please be aware that when the GolfLogix application is uninstalled, your rounds on the phone are deleted. As of right now there is no way to put the rounds back on the phone. However, if you've synced the application to our website, your Scores & Stats will remain there):
1) Go into "Settings" and then "Options". Once in "Options", go into "Advanced Options".
2) In "Advanced Options", go into "Application" and find "GolfLogix".
3) Highlight "GolfLogix", then press the MENU button on the phone and select the "Delete" option.
4) If the phone asks to RESTART or REBOOT. Make sure you RESTART or REBOOT when it prompts you. (The restart will take 2-5 minutes).
Second, re-install the application to the phone.
1) Go to golflogix.com
2) You'll need to select what phone you're using and choose what model of the BlackBerry phone you have (If it's a BlackBerry Curve, go to "Options" and then "About".)
3) Depending on how you choose to download the application, make sure you CHECK MARK where it says "SET APPLICATION PERMISSIONS" and press "VIEW" when it prompts you. Make sure to set "Connections", "Interactions" and "User Data" all to ALLOW. Finally, make sure to SAVE the settings.
4) Once the application is downloaded and installed, if the phone asks you to REBOOT, please reboot the phone. Otherwise, press "RUN" to start the application.
NOTE: Make sure you have at least 3+ bars for your signal strength before you open the application. Stepping outside usually gives you a better signal strength.
As long as the application permissions are on ALLOW, then the application should open up without any issues.
