I've tried the search, but could not find this answer...

In my Inbox view of Gmail, the contact's name appears when I first receive the message, but when I reply to the email, it shows as "(2 items)". Then when the contact replies back, it's "(3 items)"...and so on.

So instead of the Contacts name above the Subject, I only see, for example, "(5 items)", making me have to open up the message in order to find out who it came from. Is there a way to change this so the contact's name appears again (even better if the "(5 items)" shows up with the contact name)?

    Thanks!

View it from the standard Messaging inbox to see the sender. Usually I know the sender based on the subject, which does display.
