you cant, they are not apps, only shortcuts. Hide them and they will go away
I just create a folder name it junk or whatever and put them in there problem solved.

Do what he said and hide the folder... You Wong see the icons after....

I don't and never will use these, hiding them is not the answer. They still use app space even tho they are just links.
Don't want them hidden, want the junk OFF the phone...
If that's the only answer, another strike against RIM.
You can delete them by deleting the service books for them. But they will come back when you restart the device or resend service books... It is annoying for some people, but there is no permanent solution I guess...

lulz...they use virtually no space...a couple of kb and that is it less than most emails you get

What am I missing, I cannot find a way to hide the junk folder I created.

BB Button the select the "Hide" option.
You have to make sure "Show All" is not checked.
It's not RIM, it's Verizon. They are pushed down by the service books. If you delete them they'll come back when you reboot. Like others have said create a folder (mine is called VZW), move the links to the folder and then highlight the folder, click the blackberry button and select hide.
It's not an issue of space, but I agree it is slightly annoying. Hide them once and move on.

I must have an icon moved to my junk folder that does not allow the hide option. I have other icons and folders that allow me to hide, but with this folder I do not have the hide option in the menu.

Anything that I hide I have a folder for called "Hidden". Whether it is a shortcut to download something that gets pushed to my phone like NFL and Skype and Facebook(but I use that app, just a example) or a application like phone or voice dial that I don't use all go there and I know anything that I hid is there.

Two things...
One - the link takes up about .000001 MB of application memory. Seriously?
Two - its your carrier, not RIM that pushes these app links to your phone. i.e. Verizon.
I wish people would get their facts straight before they were so quick to judge. Just sayin'...

And I wish some people weren't such pissants. But hey, just sayin...
How much memory they take up is a moot point, I don't use em and don't want em that's why I asked. Doesn't matter if this is VZW.
RIM is falling behind, trying to play catch uup. There's no more innovation there, everything they do is a copy of someone else's ideas retrofitted to BB's. They did good when they embedded the BES solution into business. They'd be outta business by now if not.
I use BB because I HAVE to, I come to crackberry because I thought I could find answers from resonable people. Not always true.
Looks like to me that you got your answer and now you're just upset because it wasn't the answer you were wanting to hear.

just sayin.... just sayin.... man I wish I could hide THAT!
yet another perfect example of why this forum needs a "rants and raves" section.
just deal with it and move on. if you don't want those links, then get a different phone.
how bout a trash bin? then we can throw worthless threads like this in there just like we do the icons and forget about them ;)
even better!!!
Even if we had a rants and rave section people would still ***** and moan in other sections.

So true. Don't see what the big deal is with hiding them. Nobody knows they're there. Sh!t, sometimes I even forget they're there lol

Carrier pushed apps are like death and taxes, nothing you can do but to hide them in a flolder.
