With Prank Cam for BlackBerry, you take pictures as you do with the same old camera app but with a little bit of a twist and evil. While your friends think you are taking a regular picture, you are actually putting all kinds of hilarious artefacts on their faces. But dont worry the photo without the prank will also be there! The best part is, it lets you use the existing BlackBerry Camera app while doing all these. ShutUp Camera: This app mutes the actual BlackBerry Camera App! Yes, for real. Unlike other apps that takes low resolution screenshots to silently take pictures, ShutUp Camera lets you use the same BlackBerry Camera app but simply mutes the shutter sound. That means, you can still use all the familiar features of the native Camera App and take HI RESOLUTION photos but of course without the shutter sound.

Wow, wish I had seen this in July, especially before I stupidly paid for one of those screen app rip-offs that said they were a silent camera app.
Re: Get Free Copy of ShutUp Camera - Silent Native Camera Mute
QuickLaunch has the camera mute function built in if you are still looking for a quality app, and it does so much more as well.
Re: Get Free Copy of ShutUp Camera - Silent Native Camera Mute
Where? I could not find that feature in Quicklaunch
Re: Get Free Copy of ShutUp Camera - Silent Native Camera Mute
I forgot, it's not available on OS 7 devices I don't think.

And ShutUp camera is actually an EXCELLENT app. It was about the only camera silencing app I tried that actually used the real, full resolution camera (I tried quite a few). The others just captured screen shots of what you were viewing - yielding images that were only the resolution of your devices screen. Anyone interested should grab it for free. I paid, and have no regrets.
