Are you trying to install a rom or the alx file i posted?

you can not use gba roms, only gb and gbc roms
if you want to add games to meboy, you gotta build a new meboy.jar/.jad (and convert it into .alx/.cod) with the meboybuilder

you could install it with the jad and jar file you gotta put them on your bb with media manager and choose the file via the media-menus point "explore"
or
you could install this by/with ota you have to uplaod it (the jar and jad file) somewhere where you can download it with the browser.

it works if you upload the files to a mirror by yourself, i don't know where to upload files for ota.

Few days ago I found this NES-emulator called "vNES".
The emulator comes with a lot of games.
Mario, Donkey Kong and Zelda are just a few of them.
Works fine on my 8700g.
The Zip file contains alx & cod + reg-key, heres the link:

I searched around, an alx file is a simple text type file that tells the blackberry where to look in the cod file to get it to work. Blackberrys (from my knowledge of a few things) read in these formats. You can download jad files OTA and it extracts the cod and alx files when it installs. Took me about a day to figure it out or so.

Also, when I was sniffing around trying to find a jar/jad to cod/alx converter, I came accross this site. My Place - Where everything is free! , you can actually upload files to the site and then browse them and d/l them OTA. Helpful when doing things like this. The files stay up on the site for 3 hours, then they are removed. Becareful if you want to download someone elses uploaded content, you never know what it could be. Not saying there's anything on there that can brick your phone, just download em at your own risk.

I learned the MeBoy stuff as i used my Motorola L9 and the other stuff as i got my BB.
I learned a lot in this forum, here are many how-tos/tutorials located and some more stuff on other sites which could be found using google That was mostly the way i found solutions to the problems i had.
I didn't know how to put a java-app on my BB and my bb's browser doesn't work, cause i'm not a customer of those "big" resellers like t-online, i'm using prepaid-card, so i tried to find any other way and found a site where this way of installing java-apps on bb was explained.

But you just gotta search the forum Think there are enough usefull/helpfull posts ^^

open up your keyboard. lol... i have the storm too and it works great...

also try to change your keyboard keyrate to slow to make it fast...

and on the meboy home screen... change the settings
frameskip=7
and the thing all the way at the bottom to around 5000
good luck!!!
but theres no sound though, nothings perfect...lol

Just to clarify before I start getting involved in all this

1) Has anybody got gb games working on the bold?
2) Can the bold possibly run gba games or snes games?

This would solve all my bold gaming needs.... But right now I got so much uni work to do in 3 wks I darent start playing woth files and gettin games going.... Work would never get done

This works fine on my storm 9530, the only problem i have is i need the keyboard to move and press buttons. With either fullscreen or small screen the keyboard covers atleast 50% of the screen.. Has anyone got around this? Something im unaware of maybe.. Very new to the Storm. Thanks.
