I got this running on my 8900. Zelda and Pokemon Gold are the only two games I've tried so far. They run ok (7 - 10 fps which is still playable) however I can't get the sound to work with either (running meboy 2.2).

Not a deal breaker but it'd be kinda nice to have the zelda music/sounds at least. Also, if you try to add too many roms it won't install. I found about 1 - 1.5 mb is a good size for the .jar file. Around 3 mb and it'll hang up for a while then fail to install.

Edit: Also tried out Zelda DX, Zelda Oracle of the Ages, Zelda Oracle of Seasons, Harvest Moon 3, Star Ocean - Blue Sphere (It's in Japanese only though) and Tales of Phantasia and all run pretty well for the most part. The GBC games run a little slower but I find setting frame skip between 6 - 10 works well enough. They're playable albeit a bit of annoyance when it fades from one screen to the next (it slows down but then speeds back up once it's done with the fading.)

The java app is sick. It's just a little laggy, but i'm enjoying getting to play through yellow all over again. I'm getting about 6 fps at a 5 frame skip.

edit: in the video the guy just uses the .jar on his storm, i don't know if this will work for all blackberrys. im not gunna risk it and i'm just gunna use pflaumes method but the video is still good at explaining what to do with the roms

So, here it is:

Pokemon English
Package includes a COD & ALX file and a JAR & JAD file.
Following roms are included:
- Pokemon Blue
- Pokemon Green
- Pokemon Yellow
- Pokemon Silver
- Pokemon Gold
- Pokemon Crystal

Red isn't included cause its the same as blue, but blue contains some more monsters

hey so i just got a bb in the giant Bold push they are doing now and im not very good with computers. I followed the instructions for the meboy but i cant figure out how to convert the files to add them to desktop manager. Do I convert them through java or meboy or do i need to download a converter. In which case does anyone have a link or can help me out some other way. Much appreciated.

I've managed to make it work on my Bold 9700 perfectly (apart from sound)

Settings:
Frameskip 5 is good (the lower the better without gameplay slowing down)
Untick Keep Proportions (So the whole screen is used like a real gameboy)
No need to show framerate during gameplay like the youtube video says.

Also I just used the normal jar rom file and followed the youtube video.
Lucky it worked 'cos i hate using BB desktop manager...

Anyone know why the sound isnt working?? Surely BBs can handle MIDI ?

Thanks for the link. Unfortunately, all the games I tried there wouldn't install... they all came up with the error 907 Invalid JAR illegal host string: starts with "/". Hopefully it's just my 9700, and others can enjoy it
