Weather eye is a good free one, I believe you can download it in the app store
I use BBWeather, basic info, dosent kill the battery. No frills, which is all I need it for.
Forget the free junk apps. Wait for BerryWeather 2.0 to go on sale again for 50% off. for $4.99 when it is on sale it is a fantastic app. And when you upgrade to OS 5.0 you can put the weather right on your home screen. Coolest feature ever.
the best, by far, is weatherbug
I also use Weatherbug
I also have switched to weather bug!:)
what's the free weather app that displays the current temperature as the icon?
Posted from my CrackBerry at wapforums.crackberry.com
BBWeather does that. I use it currently, tried weatherbug, the weather channel one, and weather eye. BBWeather is my fav of all the free ones, faster, doesn't take up much app space, and like you said will display temp and/or conditions on the home screen. And it's free, which is all I use on my phone.

I cant get Weatherbug to Run and BB Weather is freezing up.
Weatherbug
I use the free Weather Eye app. Depending on the theme you use, you can get the temperature and a visual picture (sun, cloud, raindrops, snow flakes) on your home page.
The free weatherbug suks(ads on it ) and thats the only one I could get when I looked for weather apps when I got my BB in june,2009 so I went with Berryweather. I do use the elite weatherbug on my ipod tho, that weatherbug isnt free though (berryweather not offered on ipod)
I have yet to find a free weather app that has a good radar. The weather channel app has an ok radar but it's a big memory hog and is very slow, also has no temperature in the icon. Weatherbug is nice because it uses your GPS if you travel alot but the radar sucks and you have to have BB Maps loaded to use it. Weathereye doesn't have a radar.
My wife uses Accuweather on her LG and it works great. It has a very fast an detailed radar with the option to animate the radar so I'm thinking of checking that out for the BlackBerry. This one isn't free though. I also have not tried BerryWeather yet.
I have BBWeather. I used to have BerryWeather, but b/c I don't want to upgrade, and my phone crashed, I can't get the older version back. I sent an email to tech support, but have not received a link to the older version. So I guess I'm stuck w/the free software.
Here is a link to the updated free Berryweather from 1.5 to 1.6(beta) You would probably need to know you activation code that you had when using berryweather 1.5 to upgrade free to it though

but if you dont remenber it maybe you can get it back from this support page showing how
Bellshare - Activation Code Support
So is Berryweather free or not?.. I'm confused:confused: some say it is and you guys are talking about activation code.
Moree importantly which one plays well with Storm 2, meaning icon updating on homescreen... I used to use weathereye on my curve.
There is a free trial for Berryweather but no its not free totally . The reason I posted those links is because that person said the use to have it (assumed they had paid for it as well ..from how they posted) They was wanting to get the Berryweather 1.5 back after their phone crashed ,I dont know if Berryweather 1.5 is available anymore since they where planing to upgrade it free to those who already had purchased Berryweather 1.5(to Berryweather 1.6) and did not want to pay an upgrade to Berryweather 2.0. The Berryweather 1.6 in that link is a public beta so its still being tested some.
PS : Sorry I dont really know much about the storm2 or the weathereye app , someone else with have to help on that .
There are two similar named apps.
BBweather is FREE.
BEWeather (or berry weather, they can't use BERRY on the app world site apparently) is NOT free.
There is a beta of the earlier 1.x version and that might be free at the moment but I don't know.
Sorry, but I'm going hiking in the snow at 1 degree F so don't have time for links!
Weather Eye is free and I would highly recomend it. I used it over weather bug because I just don't trust old spyware :P
BerryWeather is $10 and worth every penny if you really want it. Free 3 day trial if you want to see what the hype is about before you buy. Get this trial from the crackberry store because it's not in App World yet.
Ooh I see. thanks.
I use BerryWeather and Weather Eye. I'm still comparing them. BerryWeather cost me $9.99 and, frankly, I'm not thrilled with it. It does give you a home screen icon with the temp. Now I have to PAY AGAIN to upgrade. I don't think so! I've had Weather Eye for a few days now. It's not sophisticated but gives me what I want and it's FREE. Yes, there's an ad in the bottom but it's no biggy.
so i tried to download bbweather but i cant find ota for it, i tried one but it said it was not supported. ita a 8320 4.5 Any one has a ota?? Im new here im still trying to figure how to search some ota apps lol
