What are you talking about? There's NO BlackBerry currently available that has Mobile Hotspot capabilities...

No quite sure about the need for a tether app. Whats wrong about using DM6 for this purpose? Works like a charm on my 9700 TMobile, even in Germany on O2. Let me know if you need help in setting it up...

This probably wont help you, and you might know this already, but you can tether free on T-mobile (I am doing it wright now)

Think they are referring to the upcoming Dakota/Montana, although it won't do any good now.

If I recall correctly the blackberry desktop manager let's you do this( I always do it on with my 9000).

DM lets you do it, but your carrier will charge you unless you are on TMobile. When the wireless hot spot capability is included, carriers will charge for that as well. VZW charges for both on Android and iOS as well. WiFi hot spot costs $20 per month on both. On Android you have to root and on iOS you have to jailbreak if you want the hot spot for free. Not sure what will be needed to get it free on BB?

Most people I know buy Tether half off and use it.
